Ivan Hill worked for Midland Bank now known as HSBC Bank plc for over 34 years in branches throughout the South East Valleys and along the M4 corridor.
Between 1989 and 2002 Ivan was manager of the Bargoed branch and was closely involved in the Bargoed and Caerphilly Community holding a number of positions within various organisations.
In 2002, Ivan's work within the community was recognised, when he was nominated and subsequently received the Employer Supported Volunteer Award at the annual Caerphilly County Borough Council Volunteer Sector Achievement Award Ceremony.
Ivan's retirement from HSBC has given him the opportunity to continue his work in the community and in addition to membership of various organisations, he is also treasurer of the Caerphilly Business Forum
In addition to Ivan's work with Community Connect (Wales) Ltd, he also carries out consultancy work for Venture Wales
Further information
Ivan's wife - Anwen after 30 years teaching within Welsh medium education is currently employed by the Welsh Language Board.
Both their sons Geraint and Dafydd were educated in Welsh Medium Schools and provide welsh language client support.
